Ajeet Rai and Tom Fancutt played their doubles quarter-final against Corey Gaal and Sam Oster in Brisbane earlier this afternoon, being untroubled to go on and record a straight sets victory. Gaal and Oster held serve just once in the first set, finishing the third game with an ace, but they got broken on a deciding point in the fifth game before losing their last three points in the seventh to give away the set after 21 minutes.
The second set went much better for Gaal and Oster, although they were always behind the eight ball after getting broken in the second game after being able to save only two break points from 15-40. The remaining games saw comfortable holds from both sides, Fancutt serving out the match after 51 minutes. The final score was 6-1, 6-3.
