John Sperle and Roland Stuurman got the first break to lead 2-1 over Matt Donald and Milos Karol in Monastir, and had to come back from 15-40 to save the sixth game. Donald and Karol broke next time round to level the scores at 4-4, but blew a 40-0 lead to get broken in the eleventh game. They saved just the first set point as Sperle and Stuurman served it out after 46 minutes.
The third game was again where Donald and Karol faltered as they moved through the second set, and they could save only two break points from 15-40 before losing the decider in the fifth game. They did get one break back straight away before holding serve on a deciding point. There was one of those in the next game as well, giving Donald and Karol a chance to level the scores, but Sperle and Stuurman held firm, and went on to serve out the match after an hour and 26 minutes. The final score was 7-5, 6-4.
