The day in Norman started well for the New Zealanders when George Stoupe won his second round singles qualifying match.  Stoupe beat Pierce Brazil Rollins 6-1, 3-6, 10-6 to move into the main draw, where he will face wild card Mark Mandlik in the first round.  Mandlik is the twin brother of American WTA player Ellie, whose career-high ranking is just inside the top 100, and they’re the children of one of the real superstars of tennis from 40 years ago in Hana Mandlikova.  Mark hasn’t reached any great heights yet because he has played only a handful of ITF events, his best effort being to qualify for the main draw in one tournament in Monastir two years ago, and this is his first one since.
