Although they actually qualified a couple of weeks ago, it has only now been officially announced that Erin Routliffe and Gaby Dabrowski have qualified for the WTA Finals, to be held indoors this year in the Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh. Last year they were unbeaten in the group stage, their three wins out of three including one over the eventual champions Laura Siegemund and Vera Zvonareva, but bowed out in the semi-finals. In the meantime, though, they have their first match in Wuhan late on Wednesday night New Zealand time.
