The doubles final in Traralgon didn’t go well for Ajeet Rai and Jesse Delaney, as they were beaten in straight sets by the third seeds, Joshua Charlton and Blake Ellis. They saved the first break point from 30-40 in the second game before losing the deciding point, and got aced on the decider when they took the seeded pair to deuce in the fifth game. They got broken to love next up, and were unable to convert any of their break points from 15-40 as Charlton and Ellis served out the set after 23 minutes.
They started in a similar fashion in the second set, again managing to save only one break point from 15-40, but at least that came after they had already held serve in the first game. They won the deciding point in the fifth game, but lost one in the ninth after being up 40-30, and that finished the match after 57 minutes. The final score was 6-1, 6-3.
