Jade Otway and Mercedes Aristegui were beaten in their doubles match in Norman this morning, Raquel Gonzalez Vilar and Ayumi Miyamoto winning in straight sets. The third seeds won the first five games before Otway and Aristegui held serve on a deciding point, but Gonzalez Vilar and Miyamoto served out the set to love after 25 minutes.
They exchanged service breaks to start the second set before Gonzalez Vilar and Miyamoto broke again in the fifth game. Otway and Aristegui broke back to level at 4-4 before losing their serve again in the next game, and Gonzalez Vilar and Miyamoto held serve comfortably to win the match 6-1, 6-4 after an hour and one minute.
