Melbourne-based left-hander Monique Barry has continued her climb in the WTA rankings, with her efforts in Perth last week lifting her to 544 in singles and 411 in doubles. Although she has already been eliminated from the singles in this week’s tournament at the same venue, two wins in the doubles would guarantee a further improvement in that discipline.
