The opening event of the tennis year at top level is the United Cup teams event, which started in Perth earlier today. New Zealand doesn’t get to take part because we don’t have any singles players ranked anywhere near highly enough, so our interest all devolves onto Cameron Norrie and the British team. Tonight they take on Australia, with Norrie playing good friend and oftentimes doubles partner Alex De Minaur in the first match of the night at 10 pm.
